Our fearless leader, Lucy Dashwood, has been in publishing for her entire adult life. And that began fifteen minutes ago. No, sillies, Lucy is a Baby Boomer, a Boomer Babe of the finest order, a lover of life and in mild awe of her personal history. She got this far, didn't she? After watching the multinational conglomerates take over publishing in the last century, Lucy began to note the differences and shifts in how books and authors were treated. When books become "units", something important is being lost. When entire segments of the population are dismissed because those on the coasts perceive them as not trendy enough to be considered, something important is being lost.

We won't be trendy but we may be a trendsetter.
